THE CAST

Craig A. Curtis (Greg) was last seen in Larry Dean Harris’ Like an Old Song here at the Hudson.  Prior to that he was featured in a ground-breaking production of Stephen Sondheim’s Marry Me a Little at the Celebration Theatre.  He has appeared in various musicals and theater throughout the United States and Europe including the Buffalo Opera, the music festival at Tanglewood, Mass., and the Follies Bergere in Paris.  Craig can be seen in some rather esoteric films and television including recurring roles on both “General Hospital” and “Port Charles”.  He would like to thank and wish Joe Pat the best of this leg of his journey to the Great White Way.

Joshua Finkel (Jacob) This is Joshua’s Hudson Theatre debut!  BROADWAY: Molina, the Window Dresser in Kiss of the Spider Woman with Chita Rivera and Vanessa Williams.  LOS ANGELES: Thenardier in Les Miserables at the Shubert, Card Dealer in Fiorello! starring Tony Danza.  RECENT REGIONAL: Uncle Louie in Lost in Yonkers starring Erin Moran from “Happy Days”, Al in A Chorus Line starring Jane Lanier.  TELEVISION: The 2000 season finale of “Ally McBeal: The Musical Almost” (Singing Waiter), “Family Law” (Gary Carson), “Caroline in the City”, “The Tony Awards”, “The Kennedy Center Honors”, and “American Bandstand”(!).  FILM: The Kid opposite Bruce Willis, and the live action model for Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid.  TRAINING: MFA in Classical Theatre from the Milwaukee/Delaware PTTP.

Lesli Margherita (Lindsey) was last seen at the Hudson in the cast of the smash “hit” Reefer Madness!.  If you were ever up at 3am, you might have seen Lesli starring in last season’s ill fated television series Fame L.A.  Her most recent guest star appearances include ‘The Fighting Fitzgeralds”, “Nikki”, “Kristen”, “The King of Queens”, “Chicago Hope”… blah blah.  National tours and regional theatre include: A Chorus Line (Diana) yea! Kay Cole!, 42nd Street (Peggy), Gypsy (Louise), South Pacific (Nellie), Dames at Sea (Ruby), yada, yada, yada… you get the idea.  Thanks to her parents who have supported her in everything from sitting on Mr. Warbucks’ lap to sitting on Mr. Eisner’s lap (for a show, people!), and thanks to the entire creative team who knew her before and still wanted to work with her.  MW – thanks for always being my cheerleader.  Since she seems to scare off most men, Lesli will just say “all her love” to her Jack Russell terrier, Bob Barker.

Amy Rutberg (Amanda) is one of the youngest students ever accepted at UCLA.  She won the 1999 first place Carol Burnett Musical Theatre Award, took the money, and ran off to New York where she was lucky enough to land her first audition for the female lead (Sarah) in the First National Tour of Frank Wildhorn’s The Civil War.  After a nine month tour, she returned to New York and worked with Jerry Zaks, Charles Strouse, and Scott Schwartz on the development of new musicals.  She is a veteran of 30 Los Angeles productions including: Antonia in Man of La Mancha with Robert Goulet; Janet in The The Rocky Horror Show with David Arquette; Reprise’s The Pajama Game; Maria in The Sound of Music; Kim in Bye Bye Birdie; Witch in Into the Woods; Irene in Crazy for You; Rosamund in Robber Bridegroom; Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar; and Juliet in Romeo and Juliet.  Television credits include “Broken Record”, “Saturn High”, “Emma & Lorraine” and Amy in “Pacific Blue”.

Shannon Stoeke (Sheldon) is very happy to be doing the theatrical premiere of The Grave White Way.  Shannon most recently did the workshop of the new musical Dorian at the Lamb’s Theatre in New York.  He also recently performed the role of the courier in the Houston Theatre Under the Stars production of 1776.  Shannon’s favorite roles include the Gentleman Caller in The Glass Menagerie at Stella Adler, and Tom Sawyer in Big River at the Papermill Playhouse.  Shannon co-authored and is co-starring in an upcoming sketch comedy show titled “The Morning Show with Kiki Van Nord”.  Shannon is a graduate of the Cincinnati Conservatory.

Carolyn Barnes (Cover for Lindsey)  After recently shooting a campaign for the “Yellow Pages” in Spain (with Peter Bonerz), Carolyn went on to reprise the role of Sylvia in A.R. Gurney’s Sylvia in which she received several critic’s awards.  She has starred in regional theatre productions around the country, as well as the 20th Anniversary World Tour of A Chorus Line, traveling throughout the U.S. and Asia.  Carolyn was a cast member of the Los Angeles-based productions of No, No Nanette with Nanette Fabray and South Pacific with Sandy Duncan.  She received a Dramalogue award for her portrayal of Carol in Neil Simon’s Laughter on the 23rd Floor.  Television and film credits include guest appearances in Life With Roger for Warner Bros. and “Port Charles”, as well as regular roles in several pilots that never went anywhere!  In addition to commercial work, Carolyn has done many independent films, and recently finished working on Steven Speilberg’s A.I.

Sarah Dammann (Cover for Amanda) is thrilled to be a part of this production.  She recently got back from three months at the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis where she appeared as Belle in A Christmas Carol, and understudied the lead role in To Fool the Eye.  She received her M.F.A. from the University of Washington in Seattle (Wasp, Fen, Hamlet), and majored in theatre at Yale University.  She has also worked at the Utah Shakespearean Festival, and her singing voice can be heard on Playstation’s Rhapsody.  Sarah hopes there is a musical theatre heaven, and that The Grave White Way can help get her there.

Coby McLaughlin (Cover for Sheldon and Greg) was born in Southern California and raised in the Midwest.  Although he started acting early, he didn’t take it seriously as a profession until his friend and long time coach, John Homa.  Coby has appeared on the “X-Files”, “Jack & Jill” on the WB, and on the MTV series, “Undressed”, as well as seven national commercials from Budweiser to Coca Cola to Century 21.  This is his second musical, and his first production at the Hudson.  Coby would like to thank John Homa for his guidance, friendship, and at times, extensive use of his couch.

Andrew Makay (Cover for Jacob) is excited to join the cast of The Grave White Way, and to work again with Michael Weiner and Sarah Gurfied after performing in the American Premiere of Liberty Smith in both Los Angeles and New York.  Credits include the Broadway/National Tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat starring Michael Damien and Sam Harris, Meet Me in St. Louis, 42nd Street, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Damn Yankees and Singin’ in the Rain.  Andrew’s television credits include Mrs. Santa Claus starring Angela Lansbury and some stints on “General Hospital.”  Andrew is the owner/designer of N2Nbodywear of West Hollywood.  The store celebrates its 4th anniversary this December.

Stefanie Morse (Cover for Lindsey) Diana in A Chorus Line (Europe), Tommy and 42nd Street (Theater League), Sayonara, Belle in Disney's Symphonic Fantasy (Hollywood Bowl, Metropolitan Opera House, and every place in between). (Reprise), The Unsinkable Molly Brown with Cathy Rigby, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, A Grand Night for Singing, Baby, West Side Story, State Fair (World Premiere), The Radio City X-mas Spectacular, Musical Theater Guild's The Robber Bridegroom and A Tree Grows in Brooklyn at the Pasadena Playhouse.  Stefanie has sailed the world as the lead vocalist for Crystal Cruises, and holds a Bachelors Degree in Theater Arts from UCLA.

Dan O’Brien (Cover for Greg and Jacob) is thrilled to be working on such a fun show with such a great team.  Other credits include Claude in the European tour of Hair directed by the show’s creator James Rado, J.H. Rogers in South Bay CLO’s Titanic, and Rod in Singin’ In the Rain.  He has also appeared in several of the Musical Theatre Guild’s “Broadway In Concert” staged readings at the Pasadena Playhouse.  Regionally he has appeared as Matt in The Fantasticks, Charlie in Brigadoon, Charley in Merrily We Roll Along, Lt. Cable in South Pacific, and lately, he’s been globetrotting on and off as one of Princess Cruise Lines’ Guest Entertainers.
